Standardized Dress Code
Color and Style of Clothing

A. Pants/ skirts (appropriately sized at waist)

1. Long in length (below the knee or longer)
2. Solid colors (khaki, black, navy)
3. Belt loops
4. Khaki material
5. No logos or embellishments

B. Shirts (appropriately sized to allow belt to show-NO blousing)

1. Knit polo or golf-like with collar (short sleeve or long sleeve)
2. Solid colors (white, red, or gray)
3. No logos or embellishments

C. Shorts (appropriately sized)

1. Knee length or longer
2. Khaki material
3. Solid colors (khaki, black, navy)
4. No logos or embellishments

D. Shoes

1. Casual or athletic
2. Closed toe ONLY

E. Belts (must be shown while shirt tucked in)

1. Black or brown in color
2. NO large buckles or embellishments

F. Outerwear (appropriately sized)

1. Waist length cardigan sweater or light weight jacket
2. Must be open front- zipper or button
3. Must be red, white, or gray in color
4. NO sweatshirts or pullovers
5. Any school approved sports jacket sold by school-affiliated organization

Unacceptable

1. Denim clothing
2. Cargo pants
3. Untucked shirts
4. Belt less pants with loops
5. Pants with no loops
6. Open toe shoes
7. Inappropriate sized clothing
8. Large belt buckles
9. Sweatshirts
10. Pullovers

Places to Buy Uniforms (Items may be purchased from one of the retail stores below).
- J C Penney- sold during summer months ONLY. You can buy online at JCPenney.com
- Sears- buy online at Sears.com
- Goldsmiths/Macys - during summer months and also online at Macys.com
- Walmart
- Target
- GMS approved outerwear or polos sold through school organizations

Students are also expected to adhere to Shelby County Schools Student Dress Code (Policy 6205)

ADDENDUM: Sorry for the unavailibilty of the homework skill sheet.  I will have the assignment available as a classroom activity for completion.Wednesday:
